GerbViewTM is an advanced yet simple-to use application that allows you to view/print and convert Gerber and ODB++ files, as well as Adobe PDF, Excellon or HPGL/2.

GerbView can convert Gerber files between RS-274D Gerber formats as well as older Gerber format files to the new RS-274X extended format. The new extended Gerber format contains embedded aperture information and using this format will minimize the risk for errors during the manufacturing of the PCB.

GerbView’s PDF-to-CAD capability allows you to convert Adobe PDF files into Gerber or Autodesk FXF.

Gerbview will visualize your design, on the screen or in hardcopy. No longer do you need to wait to see your actual design on a prototype circuit board. You can check distances, tools, apertures, and other details using the exact measure and query tools.

In GerbView you work with a workspace that can contain one or more files of the supported file formats. You can save the workspace for later use. The workspace can be saved to link to your design file. You will only need to reload workspace file to view the entire design.

The workspace can include markup elements such as text, barcodes (arrows, lines), images, ellipses, polygons, and text. All markup can be burned-in to become part a Gerber layer. This feature makes it easy to add text and barcode images to layers.

GerbView is able to rasterize single files or entire workspaces. It can also save to any of the supported raster format.

You may print scaled or in real size. All Windows based plotters and printers are supported. Poster mode, also known by tiled pages, allows you to print large designs, drawings and illustrations on a number of smaller A4/Letter pages.

• Remove a group of items from a Gerber loaded file.
• Delete items based on aperture selection and usage.
• Gerber apertures may be replaced using usage or by an individual selection.
• Report aperture usage on all or a portion of the layers.
• It includes command-line conversion and printing.
• Query entity information for Gerber, ODB++ and HPGL/2 files.
• You can measure distances, areas, and perimeters with or without snapping on pads or tracks.
